Thank you for your interest in serving with North American Ministries (NAM) at The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry.
Joining the FOI team is more than just stepping into a role—it's embracing a call and mission centered on a passion for God’s Word that leads to compassion for God’s Chosen People. We are thrilled that you feel called to partner with us in this unique and vital ministry. This onboarding process is designed to help us get to know you better while preparing you for a meaningful journey of service and impact.
The steps outlined below will guide you through the application and assessment process, ensuring a smooth transition into your potential role within NAM. From sharing your personal and professional background to expressing your passion for Jewish ministry, each step provides valuable insights into how your skills, gifts, and experiences align with our mission. We encourage you to approach this process prayerfully and thoughtfully, knowing that we are here to support you every step of the way.
➡︎ Step 1: FOI Employment Application
The Friends of Israel Employment Application is designed to gather essential information about applicants seeking to serve with the ministry. The application includes sections for personal details, education, employment history, and references, as well as a statement of agreement with FOI’s mission and statement of faith.
Additionally, applicants provide consent for a background check to ensure the safety and integrity of the ministry.
➡︎ Step 2: NAM Application
The North American Ministries (NAM) Application is thoughtfully crafted to uncover your unique calling, spiritual gifts, and ministry experiences, highlighting how they align with the mission of The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry. This application provides an opportunity to express your passion for Jewish ministry, your dedication to sharing the gospel, and your commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with the Jewish community, all while upholding FOI’s vision and core doctrine.
➡︎ Step 3: Biblical Assessment
Please click the link below to take a 100-question Bible Content Examination, a multiple-choice assessment designed to give us a general sense of your Bible knowledge.
This is a closed-book exam. Please do not click on the “Bible reference for the question” or “reference with options” links, as they provide significant hints. Additionally, do not use your Bible to look up answers.
Don’t worry about getting wrong answers—this is simply an assessment tool to help us gauge general knowledge and is not a determination of your future with FOI.
When you complete the test, click the “Score Practice Test” button. Copy and paste the results table into an email and send it to Laura Coleman at lcoleman@foi.org.
➡︎ Step 4: Interviews and Personality Assessment
After successfully completing and gaining approval for Steps 1–3, we will schedule interviews with FOI leadership to discuss your calling and explore your fit within our ministry. These meetings will help us discern how your passions and abilities align with our mission.
As part of this step, you will also complete a Biblical DISC personality assessment. This tool uses the DISC model of human behavior to help us understand your strengths, weaknesses, and motivations. Grounded in biblical principles, the assessment offers insights into your personality with examples from Scripture. This step helps ensure a cohesive and effective ministry team, leveraging each member’s unique design for God’s glory.
➡︎ Step 5: Board of Directors Presentation
Following successful interviews with FOI leadership, applicants are required to share their calling and ministry vision directly with The Friends of Israel’s Board of Directors. This step allows the board to hear your heart for the ministry and affirm your acceptance into FOI. Upon approval, you will be officially welcomed as a member of The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, ready to begin your journey of ministry and service with Friends of Israel.
