The long arms of terror’s tentacles funded by Iran reaches around the world. Two examples of this is the discovery of a terror network in Azerbaijan and also a foiled attempt of a terror attack in London.
In a joint report released by Mossad, Shin Bet, and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the network was discovered last month after terrorists involved were arrested in Azerbaijan. “Azerbaijan’s state security service said that it had prevented terrorist attacks and intelligence operations in Azerbaijan organized by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.” Among the targets were a synagogue, the Israeli embassy in Baku, and Jewish community leaders.” Another possible target was the critical pipeline carrying about a third of Israel’s imported oil. At least seven Azeri nationals were arrested in connection with the probe.
In northwest London the Kenton United synagogue in Harrow sustained “minor smoke damage in a room, the Community Security Trust said after being called to the Jewish house of worship.” A pro-Iranian government Islamist group claimed responsibility for the attack, but also for attacks across Europe, focusing on American, Israeli, and Jewish targets.
These two examples of Iranian involvement in terror’s global reach exposes the folly of national and international political leaders, like Governor Tim Walz, who recently said that Iran poses no threat to America. It threatens not only America, but the world.
