Here are some of the highlights of an active week in Israel:
From London, “Facing ‘Epidemic of Hate,’ UK Jews Hold Downing Street Rally Decrying Anti-Semitism.” As many as 20,000 came out on Sunday afternoon as speakers warn that “attacks on Jews pose a threat on the country’s democratic values.” Recently two Jewish people were stabbed in the Jewish section of Golders Green along with other serious attacks on Jewish institutions.
Israel Defense Forces continue to struggle in neutralizing Hezbollah released drones. An IDF soldier, Warrant Officer (res) Alexander Glovyanov, 47, was killed “by a Hezbollah drone attack in Northern Israel.”
“Israel Not Running Out of Interceptors,” says Rafael Chair Yuval Steinitz. Speaking today at a Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs Conference Steinitz says that “Iron Dome has been about 98-99 percent effective in rockets sent from Gaza by Hamas and Lebanon by Hezbollah.”
These stories remind us today, as always, continue to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”
