Iran Gives Hezbollah Approval to Attack Israel

In News Surrounding Israel by Jesse King

Iran has authorized Lebanese terror organization Hezbollah to launch a large-scale attack on Israel, as it has “become certain of Israel’s intention” to invade the city of Rafah in southern Gaza. Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah believes an Israeli attack on Lebanon is imminent, likely during the month of Ramadan (March 10—April 9) or following an invasion of Rafah, triggering his approval of an attack on Israel.

Hezbollah, like Hamas, poses a dangerous threat. It is determined to destroy Israel and has figuratively linked arms with its terrorist brothers in Gaza to launch a multi-front assault on the Jewish nation. Israel has defended itself effectively from Hamas during this war and is aware of Hezbollah’s looming presence in the north, but it may soon have to concentrate greater effort on Lebanon should Hezbollah follow through with a significant attack.
