The IDF intercepted a Hezbollah missile fired from Lebanon toward central Israel on Wednesday (25th). The terrorists declared that their intended target was the headquarters of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency.

Also on Wednesday, IDF Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin warned that the army must prepare for a potential ground invasion of Lebanon to combat Hezbollah. To that end, the IDF announced it will deploy several thousand troops in the north.

The IDF is fixated on returning Israeli citizens who have been displaced by Hezbollah’s attacks to their homes in their north. Hezbollah has launched almost daily attacks on Israel for the past year, firing thousands of rockets, missiles, and drones. The IDF must be stretched incredibly thin, as it continues to work toward eradicating Hamas in Gaza while now preparing to open up an invasion in the north.

Israel has allies, but they don’t send troops to fight with the IDF. Thankfully, the God of Israel will preserve the nation He calls His own, His “special treasure” (Psalm 135:4). Let’s pray for His people’s safety and long-term security by ending the threats facing them from multiple directions.
