London Mayor Sadiq Khan deployed more police after four people were arrested for shouting disgusting anti-Semitic rhetoric about Jewish mothers and daughters that should not be repeated. The rise of antisemitism in London and elsewhere is in response to Israel’s defense against the rockets that had been fired by Hamas on the Jewish state. Unfortunately, this happens all the time. Disagreement on Israel’s response to Gaza always turns into anti-Semitic hatred toward the Jewish people globally. For me, this is exactly the reason Israel exists, so that Jewish people have the right to self-determination and self-protection or else they are left defenseless in a country of people that target them for simply being Jewish.
