Abbas and Gantz Hold Rare Meeting

In News Surrounding Israel by Chris Katulka

Palestinian Authority, President Mahmoud Abbas met with Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, late last month. The two held a rare meeting, discussing issues of security, diplomacy, the economy, and civil affairs. It’s also been reported that Israel will offer a 500 million shekel loan to the Palestinian Authority in order to prevent its collapse.

I believe Israel should monitor every shekel that is spent by the Palestinian Authority. An audit of those funds will show whether they are going to help the beleaguered Palestinian people or to enrich the political class and families of terrorists. A proper audit will ensure the money is spent properly to help those in the most need.
