Rise in Holocaust Denial on Social Media

In News Surrounding Israel by Chris Katulka

Holocaust denial is on the rise on social media platforms where young adults get the majority of their information. A recent study found that 19% of Holocaust-related content on Twitter promotes Holocaust denial and distortion, 17% on TikTok, 8% on Facebook, and 3% on Instagram.

This should frighten us. We need to ensure that the truth about the Holocaust is being taught. That it’s being taught in our school curriculum, that it’s being taught in our universities, and yes, even our local churches. If we don’t speak about the Holocaust today, then tomorrow, fiction will become fact, and the Holocaust will become a distant memory. Let’s make sure that never happens.
